William “Bill” Dean Drew, age 100, of Batesville, Indiana, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by family on Sept. 16, 2026.

He was the son of Isaac and Gladys (nee Fleetwood) Drew. Bill married Billie Lou (nee Ashabraner) Drew on Dec. 25, 1948, in Salem, Indiana. He proudly served his country in the United States Army.
Bill’s family was his number one priority and he loved them unconditionally. He worked at Hill-Rom as a Director of Engineering and spent over 40 years with the company. He enjoyed fishing and farming in his downtime. He had an affection for horses, but loved all creatures of nature, both big and small, with the exception of squirrels.
Bill is survived by his daughters, Deb (Charlie) Schantz of Bluffton and Cindy (R.D.) Jones of Lenoir City, Tennessee; Linnie (Gary) Fullenkamp and Jenny (Tom) Fullenkamp both of Batesville, Indiana; grandchildren, Chris (Erin), Adam (Corrie), Alex (Megan) Schantz, Tyler Jones, Allie (Will) Guider, Claire, Isaac (Adrienne) Fullenkamp and Jill (Brian) Haakinson and Maddie (Josh) Vohland; great-grandchildren, Evie, Charlie, Oliver, Ralph, Walter, Harriette Schantz, Hadley and Graham Guider, Finn and Wells Fullenkamp, Cody (Kara), Gwen and Bella Haakinson, and Stevie, Elsie and Lola Vohland; great-great-grandchildren, Brody and Roanne Haakinson; and many nieces and nephews.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Billie Lou Drew; and sisters, Betty Poe and Bernadine McIntosh.
Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 21, at Weigel Funeral Home. A Christian funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Sept. 22 at St. John’s United Church of Christ with Pastor Joey Feldman officiating. Burial will immediately follow at St. John’s Cemetery.
