Larry E. Taylor, 86, of Poneto, passed away at 1:45 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2026, in Bluffton. He was born on Saturday, Dec. 16, 1939, in Pennville.
Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Jeff (Irene) Taylor of Redkey, Billy Briggs of Montpelier, Tonya Shultz of Bluffton, Tina McCord of Hartford City, Bonnie Wyatt of Bluffton, Neena (Nick) Charnley of Hartford City and Peggy (Jeremy) Miers of Yorktown; brothers, Terry (Carol) Taylor of Hartford City and Mark (Suzanne) Taylor of Montpelier; sister, Nancy Pryor of Montpelier; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and other loved ones.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Burl and Mary (Rouch) Taylor; daughters, Twila Wimmer, Yvonna “Sis” Cable and Penny Taylor; sons, Gary Taylor and Kevin Taylor; brothers, David Taylor, Ray Taylor and George “Ricky” Taylor; and sisters, Susan Bothast and Sherry Love.
Family and friends may gather to share and remember at Walker & Glancy Funeral Home, 109 W. Windsor St., Montpelier, IN, on Monday, Sept. 14, 2026, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.
A service to celebrate Larry’s life will be held at Walker & Glancy Funeral Home at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2026, with Pastor Jesse Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at Twin Hill-I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Pennville.
