Stuck was selected after Carolyn Bertsch was elected to replace Ossian Clerk-Treasurer Angie Ealing, effective Dec. 1. Stuck was unopposed and elected unanimously by the electoral board. Stuck is also the only candidate running for the position in the general election.

State Representative Matt Lehman nominated Stuck for the role. Lehman cited Stuck’s honesty and commitment to serving as reasons to nominate her for the role. Stuck also addressed the caucus, stating her excitement at returning to Wells after previously working in the Recorder’s Office in Adams County.

“I’m excited to come back to Wells County and implement what I’ve learned being in Adams County,” Stuck said. “To come back and serve again in the county that I’ve lived in 34 years ago is exciting.”
