Three girls on Norwell’s soccer team are being recognized for their seasons.
Grace Mann was awarded first-team all-sectional in District 1 while also receiving a bid to play in the State Showcase Games on Saturday, Nov. 9. Mann will also be automatically qualified for all-state recognition, which will be voted on Nov. 9.
Mann along with Karrigan Melcher will be heading to the state banquet on Nov. 10. Mann will be up for additional awards during the ceremony, while Melcher is representing the Knights as the Top Team Player recognition.
Additionally, defender Madison Mashuda and Mann will represent Norwell in the North vs. South Showcase game at Lebanon High School on Sunday, Nov. 10. Both will be showcasing their talent in front of several college coaches with other players in the state.
“The Lady Knight Soccer Team is proud of our players and are excited that some of them will be recognized at the state level for their contributions and commitment this season as well as being able to showcase their skills against the state’s best players,” Norwell head coach Dan Batdorff said in an email.
