Bluffton wins at Northfield in girls’ golf

Bluffton took the trip to Northfield and won in girls’ golf on Wednesday.

The Tigers shot a 199 compared to the Norseman’s 222 on the day.

Emma Schwartz was the medalist, shooting a 41, followed by Piper Morgan (50), Tressa Renner (53), Eve Corkwell (55) and Addison Kauffman (57).

Bluffton had five golfers in the junior varsity match, and shot a 256. Sy’Anna Jordan-Turner was the leader with a 60, Aleeah Grover was next at 61, Rylee Todd (66), and both Isabella Stout and Madelyn Funk (69).

Bluffton will host Jay County next at 4:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 26.

Knights defeat Wayne in girls’ golf

Norwell won in girls’ golf at Wayne Wednesday.

The Knights scored a 191 and the Generals a 262.

Savanna Simerman was the medalist and shot a 41, followed by Ellie Gatton (48), Emma Burnau (50), Jordyn Shroyer (52) and Jessica Bynum (54).

Norwell will be at Bellmont at 4 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 22.
