It was the opening day at the home course and for the regular season. The Knights recently finished first in both the South Adams and Bellmont Invitationals earlier this week.

Friday, the Knights scored a 195 to the Bulldogs 266. New Haven did not have a fifth golfer, so their score automatically reached a 90 for the nine-hole match.

Ellie Gatton and Emma Burnau led the way with 47s, while Savanna Simerman was next at 48. Jessica Bynum shot a 53 and Kylee Nevius 55.

Norwell will be at home again next at 4:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 12 to face North Side and South Side.
