For my final sports moment in Wells County in the 2023-24 season, I decided to be cheesy.
Yesterday, I said my list, my rules by using the entire day of moments. Today, I say the same thing, but for all of our celebratory moments.
We had several sports teams hoist trophies this year, whether that be conference or postseason champions. I wanted to honor the teams that worked perhaps their entire lives for this moment. Below, I have a list of all the team titles. I’m hoping I didn’t miss anyone, because it was a lot, thankfully.
Sectional: Norwell girls’ basketball, Bluffton football, Bluffton boys’ swimming, Norwell boys’ tennis, Norwell girls’ tennis, Norwell softball.
Regional: Norwell girls’ basketball, Norwell softball.
Semi-state: Norwell girls’ basketball.
ACAC: Bluffton boys’ cross country, Bluffton girls’ golf, Bluffton boys’ swimming, Bluffton boys’ tennis, Bluffton boys’ track and field,
NE8: Norwell baseball, Norwell girls’ basketball, Norwell girls’ swimming, Norwell girls’ tennis.
To all the teams, coaches, athletic staffs, parents and everyone else involved, congratulations on a great season of success. It was a pleasure to follow along. Until next year, let’s have plenty of moments again!
