This is the last month of school and soon the kids will be on vacation. That means there will be more kids playing along the Zanesville streets so remember to watch out for them walking or riding their bikes.

Remember that it is primary voting time now. Registered voters on the Allen County side vote at the Southwest Fire District at 11609 Lower Huntington Road. Residents of Zanesville on the Wells County side vote at the Tower Life Center Church on Wayne Street in Zanesville. The poles are open from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, May 7.

Don’t forget to come over to Zanesville on Saturday, May 11, for the Grand Opening celebration at our new restaurant Sis & Bubs. They have lots of things planed for the day.

You can now register your pet at the town hall as they have a new pet registry paper for you to fill out. This will enable them to identify the owner, etc. of the pet in case they are lost or running loose.

Coming this month is town clean-up day. There will be dumpsters for trash and for metals at the town building. Look for information on the town’s website or Facebook page.

Plans are getting set in place for the Zanesville Lions Club’s annual 5K Walk & Run for all ages I will give you more information next week or you can go to the Zanesville Lions Facebook page. The date is Saturday, May 25, at 8 a.m. at the Tower Life Center.
