The public is invited to a reception Sunday afternoon to honor Liberty Center native Dick Harris, who will be inducted into the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame next week.
Now a resident of San Diego, California., the 1964 Liberty Center High School graduate set numerous records during his high school years and college career at Manchester University. He was also a key player on the 1964 Liberty Center team that set an IHSAA record of nine overtimes in a regional semi-final basketball game.
The reception will be held from 2-4 p.m. at the Liberty Center Community Church, 2905 S. Main St. in Liberty Center.
