Last weekend while visiting a friend in Bluffton, she was reading the N-B and chuckling — not at the cartoon strip but at the police notes.
Someone thought it was suspicious that a man with a mustache was exercising by the mail box in front of the sheriff’s office. She showed me one she had saved from a few weeks ago where a caller thought her neighbor’s dog was too fat. Is this a police matter? Maybe he/she could offer to walk the dog for the neighbor?
My friend says the police notes are sometimes funnier than the cartoons. I think people just need to think a minute before they grab their phone. If it’s important, please do call, but your police department surely has more important things to do.
