The IHSAA revealed the matchups and brackets for the boys’ basketball sectional tournament Sunday night. All games will go from Feb. 27 through March 2.
Below are the results:
Norwell (12-8): The Knights (12-8) will travel to Mississinewa to face Peru (12-9) in the quarterfinal.
The two teams did not play this year, however, will be a rematch of the sectional championship last year. The Tigers got the best of the Knights 78-68 that night.
The game will be played at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 28.
All the teams in the sectional have winning records.
The winner will face either No. 12 Maconaquah (15-5) or Oak Hill (11-9). On the other side of the bracket, Mississinewa (6-17) hosts No. 5 Bellmont (19-4). Northwestern got the lone bye to the semifinal.
Bluffton (10-11): The Tigers will host No. 4 Bishop Luers (17-4) at The Tiger Den in the quarterfinal. The two have not played in the regular season and won’t in the final game.
The game will be played at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 28.
The winner will play either Whitko (16-4) or No. 7 Manchester (18-2). On the other side of the bracket, No. 10 Adams Central (18-4) faces South Adams (3-17). The winner of that game faces No. 9 Blackhawk Christian, who received the only bye to the semifinal.
Southern Wells (8-12): The Raiders, also the hosting school, will battle Southwood (6-14) in Round 1 of the sectional. The Knights beat the Raiders 57-40 in mid-December.
The sectional game will start at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 27.
The two teams drew the only match of the quarterfinal. The winner will face No. 14 Canterbury (12-9). In the other semifinal game, it’ll be Northfield (5-16) vs. Smith Academy (2-17).
