Seniors who attended the Senior Snippets program on a recent Tuesday had a video tour of the 20/20 Custom Molded Plastics plant and learned about many of the products produced there.

At the last Bluffton Park Department’s Senior Snippets class of the series “How is it Made?” the plant manager and staff members from the 20/20 Custom Molded Plastics Company came to explain the manufacturing process. Plant Manager, Matt Kovar, was the program presenter along with members of his staff — Jade Glover, Scott Rinehart, and Lori Davis. He explained that the plant arrived in Wells County in 2017 and located in the former Buckhorn building near the Wells County Jail.

Samples of the plastic pellets, in a variety of colors, were passed around. The pellets are used to create items custom made for each client. Recycled materials can also be used in the process.

Among the products made at the plant are flower pots, floors for port a-potties, mats for dog training, and even Frisbees.

Kovar explained that the company is the largest in north America for custom pressure molding and that a warehouse has been added to the site to allow for expansion.

The company began in Ohio in 1999 and now has an additional plant in Holiday City, Ga.
