Walter the Wandering Turkey will be traveling from park to park in Bluffton to watch the leaves on the trees turn colors and waddles around picking up acorns.

This wandering Turkey has become lost in one of the parks and needs your help finding his way back to the Bluffton Parks Department Office in City Hall. This is a “hide and seek” game, in which a paper cut out of Walter will be hidden during the month of November up until Thanksgiving.

He could be at one of the following locations: River Greenway on River Road, Roush Park (925 West Silver), Jefferson Park (315 East Horton), K-9 Kommons Dog Park (805 West  Market St.), Lion’s Park (300 North Main), Angel of Hope Park (225 East Wabash), Pickett’s Run Park (400 East Washington), Veteran’s Park (725 South Main) or Washington Park (710 South Mulberry).

If you find the paper cut out of Walter the Wandering Turkey, you must deliver Walter back to the Parks Department before claiming your prize. Call 824-6069 before you stop by the office on the 2nd floor of City Hall (128 East Market St.) Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., so that there will be a prize waiting for you.

Then Walter will be re-hidden in a different park to found again. Winners are limited to claiming the prize one time during the month of November.
