Jesse Allen Carr, 32, Bluffton; pleaded guilty to harassment using a computer network or other electronic communication, a Class B misdemeanor.

Jimmy Richard Robert Sheets, 45, Pennville, was sentenced to one year at the Indiana Department of Corrections with 355 days suspended and four days jail credit for driving while suspended: knowing violation and prior conviction, a Class A misdemeanor. Sheets was sentenced to 60 days in jail with 50 days suspended and four days jail credit for operating a vehicle while intoxicated, a Class A misdemeanor. The charges will run concurrently. Three additional charges for possession of paraphernalia, improper headlights, and operating a vehicle with a schedule I or II controlled substance were dismissed as part of the plea agreement.

Clint J. Dankson, 40, Bluffton, was sentenced to 1 year at the Wells County Jail with eight days jail credit after he pleaded guilty to criminal trespassing, a Class A misdemeanor. Concurrent to this charge, Dankson was sentenced to 180 days in jail with 172 days suspended and eight days of jail credit. He was also ordered to complete 357 days of probation upon his release from incarceration. One charge for public intoxication, a Class B misdemeanor, was dismissed as part of the plea agreement. Last Sept. Bluffton police responded to a report from a woman that her former husband, Dankson, attempted to break into her home. She reported Dankson left in a Chrysler 300. Bluffton police located Dankson in the vehicle. He failed field sobriety tests and blew a .17 percent alcohol concentration equivalency on a breathalyzer test.

Angela D Schaden, 43, Bluffton, appeared in court for a bond violation; she was charged with a new offense while out on bond. Schaden was arrested for family offense — invasion of privacy, a Class A misdemeanor, after an anonymous caller reported she recently moved back into the home with her husband. There is an active protection order between the couple. Schaden is now being held without bond. A pretrial conference is scheduled for 10 a.m. on Aug. 15 in the Wells Superior Court.

Kaleb Paul Ace Asher, 26, Bluffton, appeared for an initial hearing last week for intimidation, a Level 5 felony and domestic battery and strangulation, both Level 6 Felonies. The charges stem from a recent 911 call where a woman reported a man threatening her with a knife. Bond for Asher was reduced to $15,000, surety only. A no contact order was issued. A status hearing is scheduled for this case at 9 a.m. on Aug. 21 in the Wells Superior Court.

Joel Anthony Michael Huerta, 37, Fort Wayne, appeared for an initial hearing after he was charged with family offense invasion of privacy, a Class A misdemeanor. Bond was set at $25, 000. Huerta was arrested after officers received a report in June that Huerta had violated his protective order between himself and the mother of his child. According to a probable cause affidavit, Huerta told the woman to kill herself multiple times and said he would pay to see her take her life. Larry Mock was appointed Huerta’s public defender. Huerta was waiting disposition at the time the report was made for invasion of privacy — violates protective order, a Class A misdemeanor, at the time he sent the messages. On June 27, Huerta was sentenced to 365 days in jail with 353 days suspended and 12 days of jail credit. He was also ordered to complete 353 days of probation. Due to the new charge, a petition to revoke Huerta’s suspended sentence was filed. A pretrial conference is scheduled for 8:30 a.m. on Aug. 29 in the Wells Superior Court.
