Monday, 9:59 p.m., 200 block of North Oak Street. Caller reported man in tent near trailer. Property owner was aware of the man and advised he could stay for the night and leave in the morning.

Tuesday, 3:07 a.m., Taco Bell, building cleared and door secured per request.

Tuesday, 3:36 a.m., Bluffton High School. Report of subject on lawn mower. Subject advised not to be riding at night and keep off sidewalks.

Tuesday. 3:43 a.m., Peyton’s Northern Distribution Center. Report of 3 males hopping fence.

Tuesday, 10:19 a.m., 600 block of Creek Drive. Report of dog bitten by a neighbors dog.

Tuesday, 10:50 a.m., 1100 block of Wildwood Lane. Mother reporting older child struck younger child and left marks.

Tuesday. 1:18 p.m., St. Joseph Catholic Church. Officer transported man to Rescue Mission. 

County:

Tuesday, 5:46 p.m., north Ind. 1 and east CR 1050N. Vehicle observed with expired registration. Vehicle continued traveling northbound at the same speed after emergency lights were activated. The vehicle finally pulled over and driver Alejandro Eli Mayor Ruiz, 22, Fort Wayne, did not have a licence. Freeman’s towed the vehicle. Ruiz was arrested for operating a motor vehicle without ever receiving a license, a Class C misdemeanor. Booked and released.

Tuesday, 6:06 p.m., west Ind. 218 and south CR 300W. Citation issued for 71 in a 55 mph zone. 

Tuesday, 7:49 p.m., residence on Ind. 201, rural Bluffton. Report of hunting dogs barking nonstop. The dogs were located, but the deputy was unable to make contact with the owner.

Wednesday, 10:01 a.m., residence on CR 1100S, Keystone. Individual warned for trespassing. 

Ossian:

Tuesday, 8:09 p.m. residence on Meadow Lane. Report of a stolen license plate. 

Tuesday, 10:41 p.m., Ossian Health Rehab. Report of possibly stolen medication.

ACCIDENTS

County:

Wednesday, 6:01 a.m., Ind. 1, Kingsland. Adam C. Gray, 32, Fort Wayne, was driving a 2019 Acura RDX SUV southbound on Ind. 1 when a deer entered the roadway and he was unable to avoid collision. The vehicle was towed by Freeman’s due to the damage. Damage exceeded $10,000.

ARRESTS

Sandra Dee Manns, 54, Bluffton; probation violation, a Class A misdemeanor, intimidation, a Level 6 felony, possession of cocaine or a narcotic drug, a Level 6 felony, and failure to appear, a Level 6 felony. No bond set.
