Markle will hold its grand opening and dedication of the new music stage Friday evening.
The stage is in the Markle Fish and Game Club Park, and the town and the club jointly made the announcement of the ceremony.
The ceremony is planned for 7 p.m. Friday, June 9.
The stage will be known as the Hoopingarner Family Stage. The Don Hoopingarner family and the Huntington County Commissioners made generous donations to make the stage possible.
Credit also goes to the town and the club. According to the announcement of Friday’s ceremony, “the two organizations have worked tirelessly to see this dream turn into a reality.”
The first show will be Friday night as the group Night to Remember will perform. There will be no admission charge for the concert. Food and beverages will be available for purchase.
The stage will host a regular concert series in the park each summer on the second Friday of the month.
