This week, Bluffton-Harrison Elementary School celebrated Disability Awareness Week by wearing colors to school representing various disabilities. Everyday, Principal Schlaura Linderwell shared about each day during announcements and teachers read short stories about disabilities and inclusion. To close the week, teacher Karen Bell organized games that engaged different senses and connected with the week’s lessons for preschool and special education students. They also celebrated with an ice cold popsicle. (Photos by Holly Gaskill)
