Yay! Spring break has arrived, and tennis nets have been hung up at Washington and Lion’s Park. Both courts are lined with Pickleball, so get out there and enjoy some fresh air.
The Winter 100 Challenge ends on Monday, and if you haven’t already picked up your shirt and medal, you can stop by our office on the second floor of City Hall to get them. Great job to everyone who completed all 100 miles!
While you are out and about during spring break, but sure to get your Princess Merida Tea Party tickets. The event will be held at Washington Park Saturday, April 15. Tickets are on sale in the clerk-treasurer’s office in City Hall.
It is truly a magical time to listen to the princess tell her story, sing, and meet the children.
Mark your calendar for the award-winning Power Your Wheels in the Park. Bring your tiny racers out with their Power Wheels, bicycles, or tricycles to Roush Park on May 13.

You should bring an extra battery for your Power Wheels vehicle if you have one.

We are thrilled about getting the improvements at Lancaster Park started soon. The project went to bid earlier this month, and those packets are currently under review by the DNR. The board of the Bluffton Parks and Recreaton Department will hold a special meeting at 5:15 p.m. Wednesday, March 22, on the second floor of City Hall to look them over. We hope to have them awarded at the March 28 Board of Works meeting.
The Next Level trail group recently reviewed the Interurban Trail project and gave it the green light to proceed. Details are being finalized with the Indiana Department of Transportation, and we expect to go to bid very soon.
It’s an exciting time in Bluffton right now!
Congratulations to Grace Fromm, age 14, and Faith Fromm, age 7, for finding Patrick the Playful Leprechaun at the Veteran’s Park. I’m sure he will have more tricks up his sleeve next year when he returns to visit Bluffton.
Special thanks to Perry and Stephanie Gerber for their donation to the Kehoe Concert Series. We are happy to announce that each concert has a sponsor, and we are closer to reaching our funding goal.
Kids, don’t forget to turn in your coloring contest entry at the end of this month, and enjoy spring break!
Have a great week!
