The Wells County Farm Bureau Inc. and the Bluffton Office of Farm Credit Mid-America recently teamed up to donate $300 each and held a food drive to benefit the backpack program, “Feeding Tomorrow’s Future Today,” which provides weekend food packs for hungry children in Wells County.

The backpack program distributes approximately 100 bags of food each week to hungry kids for the weekend and is coordinated by 4-H volunteers with the assistance of Wells County office of Purdue Extension.

All the public schools in the county participate in the program and sign-up is with the school counselor.
