The Bluffton Middle School basketball teams went an impressive 3-1 against McCulloch Tuesday night.
The eighth-grade boys’ team won 44-39 in overtime. Leading scorers for the Tigers were Jared Moser, Axton Beste, and Jonah Geisel, with 12 points each, followed by Heath Johnson and Maz White, who tallied four points each.
The eighth-grade girls’ team won 30-21, with Isla Gibson’s 10 points leading the way. Sophie Eisenhut had nine, Allie Koby (3), Addison Yates, Madelyn Funk, and Ella Borror had two each, and Reagan Harris and Kenley Falk had one each.
The seventh-grade girls’ team won 37-23. Kamryn Ault scored a team-high 12 points, Khloe Dick (10), Grace Fry and Krista Blair with four each, Cora Kunkel, Josie Phillippe, and Bridget Steffen with two each, and Ava Trexler with one.
The seventh-grade boys’ team was defeated 56-31. Reid Abbett’s nine points led the way, followed by Gavin Grieser’s eight, Sytree Jordan (4), Gibson Grieser (3), Bennett Stoller, and Braelon Terry had two each.
