The Bluffton branch of the Wells County Public Library was evacuated about 3:35 p.m. Monday when a smoke detector would not shut off after an employee making popcorn on the building’s second floor set it off. The Bluffton Fire Department was called to the scene and the building was emptied. Firefighters were on the scene for about 10 minutes before the all-clear was given. (Photo by Dave Schultz)
