Wednesday, 5:01 p.m., residence on Westgate Road. Verbal altercation between three people. Officers responded. Situation calmed. An officer returned to the residence at 6:23 p.m., after a resident reported that a man involved in the altercation had also damaged the siding on the house.

Thursday, 10:15 a.m., Arby’s restaurant, 995 N. Main St. Fired employee reportedly damaged restaurant property before he left.

Wednesday, 12:56 p.m., residence on 900S west of 600E. William Kyle Burch, 30, of that address, was arrested by sheriff’s deputies on a warrant for violating probation. No bond set.

Thursday, 6:53 a.m., Bennett Street at Market Street. Cynthia I. Capetillo, 66, Bluffton, was driving a 2001 Pontiac Sunfire south on Bennett Street. She was unfamiliar with the street and did not notice there was a stop sign at Market Street until she entered the intersection. The Sunfire struck in the side a 2009 Pontiac Vibe driven by Mary A. Fogwell, 58, Bluffton. Following the crash, the Sunfire spun around nearly 180 degrees and ended up on the sidewalk at the intersection. The Vibe came to a stop off the east side of the southeast corner of the intersection. Damage exceeded $5,000. Capatillo was cited for no valid driver’s license in her possession and failure to stop at a through highway when required. Capetilo reported a non-incapacitating head injury while Fogwell reportedly suffered an incapacitating chest injury in the crash. Wells County EMS and Bluffton Fire Rescue were both dispatched to the scene.

Thursday, 8:20 a.m., Main Street at Silver Street. Lauren C. Sipe, 30, Bluffton, was driving a 2009 Chevrolet Cobalt south on Main Street when she became distracted by children in the back seat and ran the Cobalt into the back of a 2016 Chevrolet Sonic driven by Beth I. Baumgartner, 59, Albion. No one was injured. Damage exceeded $10,000.

Thursday, 6:30 a.m., 300W south of 200S. Adam N. Smith, 38, Montpelier, hit a deer with his 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Damage to the sport utility vehicle exceeded $2,500.

Thursday, 6:49 a.m., Ind. 1 north of 1100N. Benjamin C. Barhight, 47, Spencerville, hit a deer with a 2014 Ford F-150 pickup truck registered to CME Corporation, Fort Wayne. Damage to the pickup truck exceeded $2,500.
