Friends of Ouabache State Park are looking for people, organizations or businesses that are wanting to decorate a campsite for the Wonderland of Lights events this year.
There is no charge to participate. To sign up for a site call 824-0926.
Those wishing to reserve a site will be contacted with a site assignment and set up information. The deadline for reservations is Oct. 26.
There also are two opportunities financially support Wonderland of Lights. Sponsorships are used to defray the cost of holding the event.
Spirit Sponsors support the maintenance and replacement of strings of lights. The Friends incorporate over 300 different strands into the show and need to replace several strands every year. A Spirit Sponsor supports an individual strand of lights at the cost of $20 per strand. A list of Spirit Sponsors is featured in the event’s program booklet. A sponsor may support as many strands as they choose.
Event Sponsors help defray the cost of putting on the event such as printing, advertising and signs. There are several sponsorship levels ranging from $50 to $500 or more. Sponsors also are recognized in the event booklet.
The 2021 Wonderland of Lights was visited by more than 2,500 cars viewing the drive through show, which included a light show set to music next to the Fire Tower.
All proceeds are used to support projects and events at Ouabache.
