A final agreement has been reached regarding the 2021-2023 Master Teacher Contract during Monday’s Bluffton-Harrison Metropolitan School District’s board meeting.
The agreement outlines salary increases for BHMSD teachers, with an average increase of 5 percent.
In this contract, the minimum teacher salary increases from $40,000 to $41,600, and a maximum salary increase from $70,864 to $73,540.
These increases were ratified in a tentative agreement by the Bluffton-Harrison Teachers’ Association on Sept. 24. The school board unanimously approved the agreed-upon contract.
“I would again like to thank Mrs. Kim Mayer, co-president of the Bluffton-Harrison Teachers’ Association, for her hours of commitment and attention to detail as she served as lead negotiator for the Teachers Association,” Superintendent Brad Yates said.
The tentative agreement document is available for review on the BHMSD website.
Also during their meeting, the board adopted the district’s 2023 budget, including its capital projects plan and bus replacement plan.
