City:
Monday, 12:39 p.m., apartment in the 400 block of West Wabash Street. Lawrence Herman Dishong, 63, Bluffton, was arrested on a warrant on one count of dealing methamphetamine, a Level 3 felony, and one count of dealing methamphetamine, a Level 4 felony. Bond was set at $50,000. Also arrested was Susan Denise Sutton, 46, Bluffton, on charges of dealing in a Schedule I, II, or III controlled substance, a Level 2 felony, and dealing in a Schedule I, II, or III controlled substance, a Level 4 felony. Bond was set at $30,000.
Monday, 12:43 p.m., mobile home in the Lancaster Estates mobile home park. Luzerne C. Sauerwine III, 61, of that address, was arrested on a warrant for one count of dealing methamphetamine, a Level 4 felony. Bond set at $20,000.
Monday, 6:22 p.m., Taco Bell, 628 N. Main St. Burglar alarm. Officers responded. Alarm accidentally tripped.
Monday, 7:38 p.m., Praxis substance abuse treatment facility, 1529 W. Lancaster St. Former patient entered the facility to retrieve his belongings but reportedly became irate and broke a window with his fist after he was told he had to pick up the property during business hours. Officers responded, as did Wells County EMS.
Monday, 8:28 p.m., 100 block of West Market Street. Someone dumped items on the sidewalk at the corner of Market and Johnson streets.
Monday, 8:51 p.m., 400 block of Elm Grove Road. Report of juveniles riding off-road vehicles on the road and not wearing helmets. Officer spoke with the juveniles’ parents about safety and the laws regarding the riding all-terrain vehicles.
Tuesday, 2:06 a.m., Main Street at Spring Street. Sheriff’s deputy pulled over a 2001 Mercury Sable after clocking it at 44 mph-30 zone. The deputy observed that the driver, Andre Davis Hughes, 22, Berne, appeared to get nervous when the deputy asked him if there was anything illegal in the vehicle. Hughes reportedly denied permission to search the vehicle, so the deputy sent his K-9 on a free air sniff around the vehicle. The dog reportedly alerted on the vehicle. The deputy again asked Hughes if there was anything illegal in the vehicle and Hughes allegedly admitted there was a small amount of marijuana in the glove box of the vehicle. The deputy allegedly found a small bag labeled “Green Tea” that contained a green leafy plant material with the odor and appearance of raw marijuana. Hughes was charged with possession of marijuana, a Class B misdemeanor. He was released from custody on his own recognizance.
Tuesday, 4:13 a.m., 200 block of North Main Street. Woman walking in circles in the road. Officers checked the area but did not see anyone matching the description.
Tuesday, 12:06 p.m., 100 block of South Main Street. Scruffy-looking man who smelled of alcohol and carrying a backpack loitering in the area.

Monday, 5:17 p.m., rural Markle resident called 911 in attempt to get a hold of her doctor. She reported she was placed on a long hold and thought it would speed up the process if she called 911.
Monday, 8:50 p.m., Ind. 1 south of Ind. 218. Caller reported someone cut his fence.
Ossian:
Monday, 6:57 p.m., Tipsy Ditch, 710 S. Jefferson Street. Ossian Fire Department first responders, Wells County EMS and law enforcement dispatched to the bar on a report of a man passed out, pale and not responding.
ACCIDENTS
County:
Monday, 6:49 a.m., Hoosier Highway near 500S. Tia R. Rian, 54, Bluffton, hit a deer with her 2011 Chevrolet Avalanche. Damage to the pickup truck exceeded $5,000.
Monday, 4:28 p.m., Hoosier Highway at 400S. Betty L. Yoder, 83, Warren, was driving a 2018 Ford Escape sport utility vehicle northwest on Hoosier Highway when she realized she was driving the wrong direction. She attempted a U-turn at 400S and drove into the path of a southeasterly 1999 Jeep Wrangler driven by Lauren L. Hamilton, 32, rural Bluffton. The ensuing collision caused more than $5,000 damage to the two vehicles. Occupants of the vehicles complained of minor pain and Wells County EMS, Liberty Township Fire Rescue and Bluffton Fire Rescue were dispatched to the scene, however no one was transported to the hospital.
