Bluffton tennis match postponed due to rain
Leo made the trip down to take on Bluffton in boy’s tennis. During the pre-game stretches, a dark cloud spoiled any chance of a game, and the match was called off about 45 minutes later.
The coaching staff is working on playing at a later date that has yet to be determined.
The Tigers will be back on the court at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 30, to battle the Manchester Squires.
D’Wayne Eskridge returns from hamstring injury
Eskridge returned to the field earlier last week for the Seahawks after missing the first two preseason games due to a hamstring injury.
“It’s a huge opportunity for us to get him back out there,” head coach Pete Carroll said. “He’s on the move to get back out there.”
In the final game before the regular season begins, Eskridge had an eight-yard catch and broke for an 18-yard punt return in the 27-26 loss to the Dallas Cowboys.
