The Wells County Chamber of Commerce staff and supporters welcomed new owners Mike Barnes and Jeremy Berry of Twisted Metal Detailing & More, with a ribbon-cutting celebration on Monday, June 27. Twisted Metal Detailing & More is located at 656 North Main Street in Bluffton.

In 2020 Barnes and Berry were working for a local company that moved out of Wells County. Both decided to start a business doing something they both love: detailing cars, working outside, and delivering exceptional customer service.

Barnes said that in June of 2021 they started out small, detailing cars and doing odd jobs in hopes of growing the business. “Friends and family helped us get started and then word of mouth helped the business grow and it has turned out amazing and we could not be happier,” stated Barnes.

Barnes and Berry decided to add “more” to the title because they want to be servants in the community helping others in any capacity they can, beyond detailing cars. “We will do handyman type of projects for people such as pressure washing, staining, painting porches and decks, and other odd jobs,” said Barnes. “We will even deliver groceries for people that are struggling to get out. We just want people to be happy.”

Local dealerships have been very supportive of their growth this past year. “We have a great partnership with 24/7 Cars to wash and rinse their vehicles on the lot and another dealership called about detailing cars,” explained Barnes.

“We were finally in a position this year to find a storefront and when we saw this location on the main road, we reached out to Nathan Gerber, who has been very supportive and we moved in,” Barnes said. “Jeremy and I can do detailing here or we can come to your home or business and detail your vehicle.”

Barnes explained that they currently serve Adams and Wells County locations. “Our goal is quality over quantity. We will take the extra time to make sure your vehicle is exactly how you want it in the end. We want our customers to be happy and we will work hard because we have a passion for what we do.”
