Tuesday, 3:16 p.m., Bluffton Regional Medical Center. Department of Child Services requested police assistance in taking custody of a baby.

Tuesday, 8:07 p.m., residence in the 300 block of West Wabash Street was egged twice.

Tuesday, 11:01 p.m., First Church of the Nazarene, 1515 Clark Avenue. Deputy checked out a suspicious vehicle parked in the church’s parking lot and spoke with the occupants.

County:

Tuesday, 4:49 p.m., residence on 450E north of 1100N. Juvenile detained and transported to the Muncie Juvenile Detention Facility.

Tuesday, 7:26 p.m., 6138 N. Main St., Tocsin. Low hanging REMC power line. REMC contacted.

Wednesday, 11:22 a.m., residence on North Washington Street, Murray. Report of a man and a construction worker fighting in the back yard of the residence. State trooper responded. Situation calmed.

FIRES

Tuesday, 5:06 p.m., 1100N near 600W. Huntington County Sheriff’s Deputy driving on I-69 noticed heavy black smoke in the area. Markle Fire Department dispatched. Turned out to be a controlled burn.

ARRESTS

Bradley Gene Hartman, 59, Bluffton; criminal trespassing, a Class A misdemeanor. Released on his own recognizance.

Lee Justin Holley, 37, Bluffton; dealing in marijuana, a Class A misdemeanor, and violating probation, a Class B misdemeanor.

Charlotte Elizabeth Rothgeb, 46, Ossian; probation violation.

Kristi Jean Trinkle, 42, Ossian; possession of a legend drug or precursor, a Level 6 felony; possession of cocaine or some other narcotic drug, a Level 5 felony; possession of methamphetamine, a Level 5 felony; possession of a Schedule I or II controlled substance, a Level 6 felony; and possession of drug paraphernalia, a Class C misdemeanor. Bond set at $50,500.
