City:

Tuesday, 10:43 p.m., Airplane Express and Service, 407 N. Main St. Man reported he had been scammed out of money by a woman on a dating website.

Wednesday, 3:24 a.m., 1200 block of Lakeview Ct. Report of an unresponsive 75-yar-old man. Officers, Wells County EMS and Bluffton Fire Department first responders dispatched. Wells County Coroner contacted.

Wednesday, 4:45 a.m., Bond Street at Wiley Avenue. Sheriff’s deputy served a warrant for arrest on Donald Raye Waters Jr., 43, Bluffton, on charges of possession of marijuana with a prior conviction for the same offense, a Level 6 felony, and possession of drug paraphernalia, a Class C misdemeanor. Bond was set at $5,500.

Wednesday, 7 a.m., Williams Street at Wiley Avenue. Large tree limb in the roadway. Officer cleared the limb away.

County:

Tuesday, 1:39 p.m., Stoneybrook mobile home park in Zanesville. Verbal altercation between mother and daughter. Daughter hit mother with a pad of paper. Neither could recall what they started arguing about. Situation calmed.

Tuesday, 7:56 p.m., 450E at 100N. Wells County EMS, officers and Bluffton Fire Department first responders dispatched for an older man suffering a medical issue, slurred speech saying things that weren’t making much sense.

Tuesday, 10:37 p.m., chicken barn on 600W north of 400S. Someone as of late has been dumping trash on the property, much to the owners’ consternation.

Ossian:

Wednesday, 6:10 a.m., Ossian Deli, 404 N. Jefferson St. Panic alarm. Officer and deputy responded. Alarm malfunctioned.

ACCIDENTS

City:

Tuesday, 9:09 p.m., driveway at 1411 W. Central Ave. Kalesha Smith, 27, of that address, was backing out of her driveway when the 2019 Dodge Grand Caravan she was driving sideswiped a parked 2010 Dodge Charger, the registered owner of which was not listed on the accident report. Damage exceeded $1,000.

County:

Tuesday, 10:09 p.m., 500N west of Ind. 1. Morgan R. Batdorff, 16, rural Ossian, was driving a 2015 Toyota Tacoma pickup truck west on 500N when she adjusted her rearview mirror, then drove off the road into the ditch on the south side of the road. The truck sustained more than $1,000 damage.

Tuesday, 3:25 p.m., Peyton’s Northern Distribution Center, 1111 S. Adams St. Fire alarm. Bluffton Fire Department dispatched. No fire. False alarm.

ARRESTS
