As I write this column it is a beautiful day. It has been great weather since the big storm. You can’t imagine what damage high winds have done just a few miles from us. The clean up will take many months and I think we need to all be aware of the devastation to businesses that had to be closed for several days. Thankfully only one elderly woman died from injuries from glass breakage as she was near a window.
This week the Midwest Aces will be practicing on Tuesday and Thursday. They may have games scheduled so keep an eye on the Zanesville Lions Ball Park or go to the Facebook page.
This is the last week for the Zanesville Youth Program as they will be meeting at the Tower Life Center on Tuesday, June 28, from 9 to noon and on Thursday they will make a trip just north of here to Stillwater Retreat for a morning of swimming, boating, swings and games.
The Zanesville Community Church of God’s Coffee Cafe is still open weekdays from 7:30 to 10 a.m. All are welcome to attend. Come and meet your neighbors and make some new friends.
