Thursday, 11:48 p.m., residence on Broadway Street in Zanesville. Deputies, Ossian Police, and Indiana State Police responded on a report of a 911 hang-up call. When the first deputy arrived, a woman holding a small child opened the door and was about to step out when the deputy heard a man yell something. The woman then closed the door and refused to answer repeated attempts by police to talk to her. Law enforcement surrounded the residence and one last attempt to contact the woman was made. This time she answered. The male and the female both admitted that they had been arguing, were unaware that police were trying to get them to exit the residence and neither wished to cooperate further on an investigation into the matter. Officers were called back to the same residence at 1:12 a.m. on a report that the couple was now outside of the house arguing loudly. Again, neither the man nor the woman wished to pursue an investigation into the matter and said that they would be staying in separate rooms of the house for the night.
