Wow, was it a hot one last week! I’m glad many of you visited the Wells Community Pool and the splash pads to cool off. Stop by the Parlor City Plaza if you are out this morning. I’m volunteering today at the market, and I’ll have lots of information about our upcoming events. The Boy Scouts will also be there with a few fun activities the kids will enjoy.

Valero Renewables in Bluffton reached out to us this week to donate 16 emergency roadside kits to be given away at the Classic car cruise July 10 and the Jeep cruise on Aug. 7 before the Kehoe concerts. The kits include jumper cables, flashlight, tire pressure gauge, safety vest, and a warming foil blanket. We will be handing out raffle tickets from 5 to 5:30 pm to each participating vehicle and announce the winners before we take to the streets on a cruise around town.
