Norwell’s girls’ and boys’ track and field teams both lost dual meets to Huntington North on Wednesday.
The Lady Knights lost 76-51.
Makenzee Kahn led the way for Norwell. She finished first in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:46.07 and also won the 3,200 meter run with a time of 12:59.31.
Kahn, along with Olivia Wills, Maeli Cassel, and Ainsley Melcher took first in the 4×800 meter relay with a time of 11:31.8.
Ainsley Melcher, Maddy Reinhard, Makenzie Fuess, and Haleigh Reinhard won the 4×400 meter relay with a time of 4:39.1.
Emma Dummer won took first high jump by clearing 4 feet 6 inches.
In the boys’ meet, Norwell lost 87-45.
Kyle Zeddis was the winner in both throwing events, taking first in shot put with a throw of 45 feet 3.5 inches and first in discus with a throw of 127 feet 9 inches.
Winston Frauhiger won the high jump by clearing 6 feet 3 inches. Noah Fromm won the 100 meter dash with a time of 12.18. Gavin Threewits was the winner of the 3,200 meter run with a time of 11:29.69. Jake Gruss, Austin Haiflich, Landon Diver, and Parker McCartney won the 4×800 meter relay for Norwell with a time of 10:54.66.
Norwell’s teams will return to action on Monday at New Haven for the NE8 Conference Meet.
