It’s an annual tradition at Southern Wells that goes back more than 50 years — even pre-dating Southern Wells Elementary. It’s Fifth Grade Kite Fly Day, a lesson that’s carried on by fifth grade teacher Ross Palmer designed to teach students basic principles of science and math.
