Dr. Leonard & Marjorie King, of Ossian, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary June 3.
The couple was wed June 3, 1972 in Leiters Ford, Ind. Dr. King is a retired United Methodist pastor. He has dedicated his life to serving the Lord and leading others to Christ.
His wife Marjorie, known as Marj, has been a constant support for her husband. At a young age she got her cosmetology license and owned her own beauty shop serving her local community. She has also been a devoted homemaker, talented seamstress, and worked in retail over the years.
The couple has three children: Monica (Matt) Huffman of Markle, Melissa Renninger of Ossian, and Lyle (Traci) King of Huntertown. They’ve also been blessed with eight grandchildren: Alex (Kevin) Stout, Luke Renninger, Lance Huffman, Andrew Renninger, Logan Renninger, Austin Renninger, Hailey King, and Landen King. In addition they have two great-grandchildren: Amelia Stout and Kevin Stout III.
Leonard and Marj will celebrate their anniversary with a family gathering at a later date.
