Bluffton’s baseball team was defeated 20-5 on its home field by Eastbrook on Monday. 

The Tigers (9-7) trailed 12-5 after five innings, but an eight-run sixth by the visiting Panthers ended the game one inning early by the 10-run rule. 

The Panthers enjoyed a big third inning as well where they scored seven runs. 

Bluffton did all of its scoring early with three runs in the first and two in the second. 

The Tigers had seven hits at the plate. Kyler Rolston hit a home run and drove in three runs. Brock Drayer hit a home run and drove in two runs. 

Bluffton’s other three runs were scored by Eli Garrett, Braxton Betancourt, and Curtis Ellis.

Curtis Ellis suffered the loss on the mound, allowing six runs (three earned) on six hits in three innings of work while striking out two and walking none. 

Bluffton will take the field again on Tuesday against Heritage at home.
