By the time you read this column, we most surely will be having warmer weather! Hopefully I will have mastered changing to a new cell phone and will have my taxes filed.

Remember that the primary election is coming up on Tuesday, May 3. Those of you who are on the Allen County side of Zanesville will be casting your vote (according to the paper) at the Southwest Fire District 4 at 11609 Lower Huntington Road. Note this is not the address of the station just north of Zanesville where we have always voted. If you live on the Wells County side of town you will cast your votes at the Tower Life Center (formerly the United Methodist) on Wayne Street. They will be open from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
This Saturday is the last Men’s Lenten Breakfast. This one will be held at the Tower Life Center on Wayne Street. The date is April 9 and breakfast is served at 8 a.m. to all men and boys who would like to attend. A short program follows the meal.
Monday, April 11, the Lions will be having soup and sandwiches at the clubhouse at 7:30 p.m. An installation of new members will follow and then a short program will be given by Pastor Scott Reece from the Broadway Church of Christ in Huntington. The program usually begins a little after 7 p.m. If you would like to join us for dinner, please call me so I set a place for you.

As you know the Zanesville Lions pavilion was vandalized recently and the club members, team coaches, a volunteers will be spending lots of time getting it ready for the upcoming ballgames that start on Saturday, April 9.
