Syndicated cartoonist Gary Varvel will be the featured speaker for the Wells County Republican Party’s Lincoln Day dinner, which will be held Wednesday, April 27, at Lighted Gardens north of Ossian.
Varvel was the editorial cartoonist for the Indianapolis Star for 24 years, retiring in 2019. His work is now distributed through Creators Syndicate and is regularly published on the News-Banner’s editorial page.
A VIP reception will be held from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. on April 27 with dinner at 7 p.m.
