Tuesday, 3:05 a.m., residence in the 800 block of Eastmoor Drive, Bluffton Woods mobile home park. Pamela Sue Ramseyer, 63, Bluffton, was arrested on a warrant for operating a vehicle with a controlled substance in her body, a Class C misdemeanor, and operating a vehicle while intoxicated endangering a person, a Class A misdemeanor. Bond set at $1,500.

Tuesday, 8:26 a.m., Townley Street resident reported someone stole her identity, dipped into both her savings and checking accounts and then locked her out of her phone.

Tuesday, 9:45 a.m., Johnson at Townley Street. Caller reported witnessing a man shoving a woman into a blue Jeep Liberty. Officers responded and pulled the vehicle over at Silver and Johnson streets and arrested Tavis Beavans, 36, Bluffton, on drunk driving charges. According to the results of a Breathalyzer test, Beavans’ alcohol concentration equivalency at the time of the traffic stop was .141 percent. That is over Indiana’s legal limit for intoxication of .08 percent.

Tuesday, 1:02 p.m., residence in the 700 block of South Williams Street. Vehicle vandalized.

Tuesday, 8:47 a.m., Ind. 1 between 400N and 500N there was a large piece of wood in the roadway. Sheriff’s deputy responded and moved the piece of wood.

ACCIDENTS

City:

Monday, 6:40 p.m., Silver Street near Marion Street. Kendal L. Crist, 16, Bluffton, hit a dog with a 2007 Pontiac G6. The dog was injured but not killed. Damage to the car exceeded $1,000.

Monday, 8:40 p.m., Dairy Queen parking lot. Michele M. Schiedel, 65, Bluffton, backed a 2018 Buick Encore into an electric pole in the parking lot of the restaurant. Damage to the vehicle exceeded $1,000.

Thursday, March 31, 3:30 p.m., 200E at 350S. John Moyer, 67, Bluffton, was driving a Bluffton-Harrison Metropolitan School Corporation school bus south on 200E when he failed to stop for 350S. The school bus was struck by a 2021 Jeep driven by Angela Martin, 51, rural Bluffton. There were eight passengers on the school bus at the time, but none were hurt. Martin complained of chest pain at the scene, but declined transport by Wells County EMS to the hospital. In addition to EMS. Bluffton Fire Rescue was also dispatched to the scene. Damage exceeded $10,000.

Monday, 8:52 p.m., 1418 Parlor City Drive. Carbon monoxide detector alarm. Bluffton Fire Department dispatched. No carbon monoxide detected.

ARRESTS

Jared Joe West, 34, Ossian; possession of methamphetamine and auto theft, both Level 6 felonies; possession of drug paraphernalia, a Class C misdemeanor; and revocation of bail on a previous charge of disorderly conduct, a Class B misdemeanor. No bond set 

Hayley Nicole Reynolds, 26, Ossian; failure to appear in court, a Class A misdemeanor. No bond set.

John Michael Hamrick, 29, Fort Wayne; probation violation. No bond set.
