The Jackson Center alumni met April 16 at the McNatt Church.
A business meeting was held and Fred Schweikhardt was named the new president with Brenda Huffman as vice president. Corresponding secretary Connie Herr, treasurer Sharon McMillan, and secretary Rita Blinn will remain in office for two more years.
The Class of 1952 was an honored class, but no members attended. Those attending from the Class of 1962 were Sharon Studer Gebhart, Linda Banter King, Becky Wyatt Winters, Donna Wyatt Brock, Linda Jones Bontrager, Donald Friar, Larry McCammon, Steve Herr, Merrill Butterfield, and Gene Myers.
Those classmates that were lost during the last year were remembered — Rosalind Baker Caine, Robert Palmer, Gennie Baker Poff, Kay Buckland Riddell, Ronald Penrod, Margaret Moriarity Lee, and Dale Slusher.
The dinner was provided by Chop’s Firepit and was served by 4-H members and other volunteers.
Next year’s banquet will be at 5 p.m. April 15.
