‘Landscaping with nature’ classes in May
“Landscaping with Nature” classes will be offered on four Monday evenings in May at Ouabache State Park’s Lodge.
The Department of Natural Resources and Purdue University Extension have joined forces to offer the classes that will be from 7 to 9 p.m. on May, 2, 9, 15 and 23.
Session 1—Landscaping with native plants
Session 2—Pollinator-friendly landscaping
Session 3—Wildlife-friendly landscaping
Session 4—Managing invasive species
Homeowners, small woodlot owners and nature enthusiasts will all benefit from this series. Cost is $10, payable at the first session.

Ossian sorority offers a $500 scholarship
Ossian’s Gamma Zeta Chapter of Psi Iota Xi is giving its annual $500 scholarship for any Wells County graduates who are now at least in their junior year of college with a field of study in art, music, literature or hearing impaired.

Requirements are listed on the application and are due by July 1, 2022, for consideration for the fall semester.

Liberty Center dinner to aid park
Liberty Center will host a dinner Thursday night, April 28, to support improvements and maintenance at the town’s park.
The dinner will feature items from Dan’s Fish and Tenderloin. Service will be drive-through only.
Hours will be 4 to 7 p.m. at the Liberty Center United Methodist Church.
