The Bluffton Water Department will conduct its annual hydrant flushing next week.

The day-by-day schedule is:

Monday, May 2: Starting at the new water plant on the city’s south side heading north. This area includes the Lancaster Senior Apartments, Harrison Development Area, 4-H Park area, Jackson Industrial Park, and Greenfield Farms north to the Indiana Street Water Tower and the area east of Wayne Street from Ind. 116 north to the Wabash River.

Tuesday, May 3: Starting at Spring Street, heading north on east side of Main Street to Wayne Street. Also to be done are areas off of Ind. 124, Elm Grove Road, Wildwood Lane, Compromise Lane, and White Bridge Court plus west of Main Street from Washington Street south to Spring Street.

Wednesday, May 4: Everything west of Bond Street and Market Street and north on Main Street on the east side to the entrance to Willowbrook Trail. This area will include Bell Brook, Christian Care, Madison, and William Wells.

Thursday, May 5: West Wabash Street going west and all areas north of Wabash Street. Also, Willowbrook, the north side of Bellbrook, North Main Street on the east side, Monroe Street, and the south part of Northwood Farms.

Friday, May 6: Starting at North Main Street and Hillcrest Road covering everything on the west side of North Main Street going south. Other areas include Also, north of Walmart, North Main Street, Jackson Street, the North Oaks addition, Premier Flats, and River Terrace.

Monday May 9: Completion of the flushing if bad weather forces a delay.
