The Bluffton Tiger boys’ track and field team defeated both Woodlan and Adams Central in Tuesday’s tri-meet.
The Tigers put up 79 points with Gus Martinez leading the way. He won the long jump, 110 and 300 meter hurdles. Carter McConnel won the 400 meter dash, Tyler Godwin won the 3,200 meter run, and Markis Crosbie won the 1,600 meter run.
Godwin and Crosbie, along with Jude Baumgartner and Sam Baumgartner, won the 4×800 meter relay. Jude Baumgartner, Hutch Craighead, Andrew Hunt, and Carter McConnell won the 4×400 meter relay.
Woodlan followed in the team scores at 48, and Adams Central scored 29.
Bluffton’s Lady Tigers scored 48 points to finish second in the girls’ meet.
Leslie Sprankles led the way with wins in the 800 and 1,600 meter runs. Ryleigh Johnson won the 400 meter dash, and Lauren Reiff won the discus to remain undefeated in that event this season.
Second-place finishes for Bluffton included Lucia Corkwell in the 3,200 meter run, Alexandria Mackenzie in the shot put and discus, Haley Gibson in the long jump, and Olivia Pula in the 100 meter dash.
Bluffton will return to action on Friday at the South Adams Invitaitonal.
