Thursday, 2:53 p.m., parking lot of Villa North Plaza in front of Dollar Tree, 937 N. Main St. Report of a man shooting up drugs in a vehicle. Officers responded and located the man. He had not been shooting up and no drugs were found in his possession.
Thursday, 3:02 p.m., officers, Wells County EMS and Bluffton Fire Department first responders were called to and helped detain a man threatening self harm who had taken off running on West Wiley Avenue.
Thursday, 3:25 p.m., Praxis substance abuse treatment facility, 1529 W. Lancaster St. Officer requested to remove an unwanted man from the facility.
Thursday, 7:08 p.m., Praxis, 1529 W. Lancaster St. Officers requested for an uncooperative female patient. She was transported to Parkview Randalia in Fort Wayne.
Friday, 7:08 a.m., Almco Steel Products, 59 N. Oak St. Extended. Burglar alarm. Officer responded. Alarm accidentally tripped by an employee.
Friday, 9 a.m., Main Street at Monroe Street. Bluffton police officer pulled over a vehicle and arrested the driver, Drew Michael Heller, 33, rural Bluffton, for driving while suspended with a prior conviction for the same offense, a Class A misdemeanor; operating a motor vehicle without insurance with a prior conviction for the same offense, a Class C misdemeanor; and distracted driving, a Class C infraction. He was released from custody on his own recognizance.
Friday, 9:42 a.m., residence in the 500 block of Kathryn Drive,Maple Grove Estates mobile home park. Wanted juvenile detained by a sheriff’s deputy.

Thursday, 2:48 p.m., 800E near the Apostolic Christian Church. Deputy used his patrol rifle to put down an injured deer.
Thursday, 10:38 p.m., residence on 200N west of 400W. Caller reported seeing several people running around in the caller’s yard and then took off for the woods about five to 10 minutes earlier. Deputy responded and checked the area but saw no one.
Ossian:
Thursday, 6:20 p.m., residence in the 100 block of South Siebold Street. Report of an unresponsive male in his 60s. Officers, Ossian Fire Department first responders and Wells County EMS paged. Wells County Coroner contacted.
ACCIDENTS
County:
Friday, 7:32 a.m., 950N at 100E. Jayda Bunn, 16, Ossian, was driving a 2012 Nissan Murano west on 950N. As she approached the intersection with 100E, she could not get stopped because of the snowy roadway. The van slid off the end of the T-intersection through the ditch and into the front yard of George Hoopingarner, 9472N-100E. The vehicle then rolled onto its top. Total damage exceeded $5,000. Ossian Fire Rescue and Wells County EMS were both dispatched to the scene. Bunn was not injured.
FIRE RUNS
Friday, 7:50 a.m., 450E between 200N and 300N. Report of an antifreeze leak in an adjacent ditch. Bluffton Fire Department dispatched and Wells County Emergency Management Agency contacted. It wasn’t antifreeze, but a harmless dye that had been put into the septic tank of a nearby residence for a test of that system. The EMA was advised to disregard.
