Two Norwell show choirs competed in the Midwest Showcase at Huntington North High School this past weekend.

The Knight Sounds of Norwell Middle School performed Friday night and Eden Stoppenhagen was named the group’s Outstanding Performer.

On Saturday, Norwell High School’s Knight Moves placed third in the Small Mixed Division during the day, with Emily Edmiston being named Outstanding Performer, Best Female Soloist Within a Show, and the overall Grand Champion in the Solo Competition. Also competing in the Solo Competition were Julia Redner, Owen Newsom, and Benjamin Stephens.

Knight Sounds had previously competed at Homestead High School where Hailey Singleton was named Outstanding Performer. Knight Moves was the fifth runner-up in finals with Elijah Ingle being named Outstanding Performer.

Knight Moves also won Grand Champion in the Festival division at the DeKalb Choir Festival, with awards for Best Vocals and Best Choreography.
