Above, a farm tractor with a loader is being used to pull out a car that slid off the curve on Ind. 1 between 400S and 450S Wednesday afternoon. No one was seriously injured and the car sustained minor damage in the crash.
Below, the snow was late to start and at 3 p.m. Wednesday, the precipitation was still falling as rain. Traffic was moderate crossing the Wabash River on Main Street, apparently in anticipation of what was to come.
By 9 p.m. Wednesday the anticipation was over, and except for this state highway snowplow, traffic was nearly non-existent at the same spot on the bridge, seen below. (Photo by Glen Werling)
