Construction planning continues for the new county highway garage.
Conor Jackson of James S. Jackson Co. told the commissioners on Tuesday that there was a progress meeting last week with the whole team and they are 90 percent of the way to having a floor plan put together.
“We had enough information to go ahead and complete our side of the design on the pre-engineering metal building,” he said, adding he anticipated getting the specifications returned to them from PCI Monday afternoon.
That will allow them to proceed with bidding out the project — including the steel erection. They are in the home stretch of getting the project ready for bids, Jackson added.
