Norwell’s Brody Page placed 14th in the 100 butterfly at the IHSAA boys’ swimming state finals this weekend at IUPUI.
Page finished the race with a time of 50.92, nearly matching his sectional time of 50.48. He also posted a time of 50.67 in the prelims, which ranked 13th.
Page also competed in the 100 backstroke and posted the 19th-best time in the prelim with a time of 52.68, which was just behind the 52.61 time he finished at sectional.
Page, along with teammates Kellen Zimmer, Mikey Reidenbach, and Jakob Peterson, also competed in the 200 medley relay. The group posted the 24th-best time at 1:38.83. Their time at sectional was 1:37.71.
Zimmer also competed individually in the 100 breaststroke, where he finished with the 26th-best time of 1:00.1. That topped his sectional time of 1:00.61.
Bluffton’s Caleb Geimer competed in two individual events at state as well. He finished the 100 butterfly with a time of 51.99, good for the 23rd-best time in the prelim. He also finished the 200 individual medley with a time of 1:59.89, which was good for 27th in the prelim.
At sectional, Geimer finished the 100 butterfly with a time of 50.71, and the 200 individual medley with a time of 1:57.97.
