Cake Wars (Home Edition): Who’s up for a sweet competition? Join us for our annual online cake wars from March 14 to March 30. This fun challenge is for all ages to get creative with either a cake or cupcakes.
Send your photos of your best cake/cupcake creations to events@blufftonindiana.gov along with your name, age, and description of your creation by March 30. We will then post photos on the Bluffton Parks Department Facebook page March 31 through April 6 and whichever picture has the most votes (likes) will receive a prize.
Don’t worry if it doesn’t turn out perfectly. We enjoy a good Nailed It cake too!
Last year, Larry the Leprechaun was found hiding in our parks, so this year his cousin, Lucky the Leprechaun, will be arriving March 1 through March 15 to see if he can do any better.
Leprechauns usually arrive in Bluffton at the beginning of March and travel from park to park playing pranks on kids. Children of all ages, we need your help finding this mischievous leprechaun before he plays a trick on us.
This is a “hide and seek” game, in which a paper cutout of Lucky will be hidden at one of our parks. If you find the paper cutout of Lucky the Leprechaun, you must deliver him back to the Parks Department to claim your prize. Call 824-6069 before you stop by the Parks Department office on the second floor of City Hall, 128 E. Market St., between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday so we can have your prize waiting for you. Winners are limited to claiming the prize one time this season.
City Gym Members: Parks Department maintenance workers will be conducting locker cleaning and maintenance on Feb. 21. We ask that any members who have left locks on the lockers remove them and any personal belongings by 8 a.m. Feb. 21 so that we can get the insides repainted. Abandoned lockers will have the locks removed and the contents of the lockers will be available in the park office until March 8.
