Gerber will be in gospel concert lineup Saturday
Among the featured musicians at the ninth annual Friends Who Care Gospel Concert and Auction Saturday, Jan. 15, will be Brittany Gerber who will play the piano and sing.
The doors for the event at the Wells County Community Building at the 4-H Park will open at 6 p.m. with refreshments available from Uncle Matt’s BBQ. Eight local singing groups will provide entertainment with both silent and active auctions to be held.
There is no admission charge to attend the event that is a fund raiser for Friends Who Care’s Cancer Relief Foundation.
Salamonie Lake hosts succulent workshop Feb. 20
Salamonie Lake will host a workshop on succulent plants from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Feb. 20 at the nature center.
During the workshop, participants will design a miniature garden with container plants to bring nature inside. The cost is $25 per person with a $5 discount for multiple people in the same party. All materials will be provided.
Advance registration is required by calling 260-468-2127, and limited space is available. The workshop is for ages 7 and older. Children under 18 should be accompanied by an adult.
